In the 1990's Nation Wilcox introduced facilities within the ISSAC system to address the needs of a Wholesale Flowers, Plants and Florists Sundries Cash & Carry company to replace a previous system that had been implemented but had failed to meet requirements and expectations. This system prompted the introduction of barcode scanning at the point of sale and barcode label printing within ISSAC which naturally and subsequently had application in the groceries sector. As a result, ISSAC has now been successfully deployed and is currently operational in many food service and horticultural Cash & Carry companies.
In this context, ISSAC now provides:-
- For companies with cashiers ISSAC provides a fully functioning and integrated cashiering application. However, for those who prefer their salesmen to manage customer payments then ISSAC caters for this situation also. In addition, ISSAC has a barcode scanning till style application that enables the till user to both process sales and accept customer payments.
- Naturally, ISSAC prints an invoice at the point of sale and on a customer specific basis this can be automatically emailed to the customer concerned. Optionally, attached to this email can be a CSV file containing the details of the invoiced items, so as to facilitate entry into the customers own accounting and stock system.
- Being an ERP class system, ISSAC contains the complete suite of financial applications for Sales, Purchases and Nominal Accounting which also includes a Cashbook application for Bank Reconciliation puposes.
- As trading conditions have evolved, many of our Cash & Carry customers have diversified to provide a Catering Supply delivery service. As such, they now also utilise the Tele-Sales Order Processing with price lists, Order Picking and Delivery Scheduling facilities that ISSAC provides. Since Covid an increasing number of our customers have also deployed ISSAC’s customer on-line ordering system Caterpoint. Our recent introduction of AI-assisted and automatic processing of telephone voice recorded and emailed customer orders has obvious application here.
